AI Regulatory Working Group

The AI Regulatory Working Group:

  • Monitor major changes, including industry and government-led developments, shaping the AI regulatory ecosystem.
  • Understand how industry is responding and share learnings, insights, and best practices.
  • Inform the CMA’s feedback to the federal government on the proposed Artificial Intelligence and Data Act (AIDA) and other regulatory and guidance matters by several government agencies on creating guardrails around AI. Given the increasing use and importance of AI to marketing, the Working Group will provide the CMA with use cases and practical insights into how AI systems are leveraged by marketers to help the CMA ensure the proposed bill is practical for the marketing sector.
  • Actively share and promote CMA’s content with relevant industry stakeholders at events, with internal teams and on various communication channels.
  • Advise on the CMA’s positions and activities in response to these developments, and contribute to content, tools and guides to help marketers leverage AI effectively and ethically. This includes AI-related blogs and eventual best practices documents and codes.
