CMA’s Newcomer Mentorship Program fireside chat is back again. Barry Alexander, Chief Marketing & Diversity Officer, is joined by Patrick Bhang, Senior Director for Regional and Branch Marketing and a passionate advocate for supporting newcomers.

Landing a new role in a new country is both exciting and challenging. For newcomers to Canada, the first 90 days in a job can be a defining time to build credibility, learn the workplace culture, and set the tone for long-term success.

Join us for an interactive and inspiring workshop, led by Patrick Bhang, Sr. Director of Marketing at RBC and a passionate advocate for supporting newcomers. Drawing from the acclaimed book The First 90 Days by Michael D. Watkins, Patrick will guide you through key strategies to navigate your transition with confidence.

You’ll engage in hands-on activities, connect with others new to the Canadian workforce, and walk away with a practical 90-day plan tailored to your journey.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand and adapt to Canadian workplace culture
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and managers
  • Gain early wins and make a lasting first impression
  • Discuss the impacts of a virtuous cycle and a vicious cycle
  • Build your on-boarding plan

Bonus: Three attendees will win a free copy of The First 90 Days to continue growing beyond the workshop!

Whether you’re starting your first Canadian job or stepping into a new role, this session will help you build confidence, connection, and career momentum from day 1.
