In today’s marketing landscape, strong networks are the catalyst for opportunity, innovation, and career advancement. Yet many women hesitate to network because it can feel uncomfortable, transactional, or overwhelming—especially at large events. This keynote redefines networking as an act of generosity and shared value, grounded in Wet Cement’s Win-Win Networking™ curriculum and the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain.”

Participants will learn how to make networking more strategic, comfortable, and dare we say it, fun! We will explore how purposeful preparation, curiosity, and confidence help build meaningful relationships that continue well beyond the room.

Key insights include how to:

  • Navigate the unique nuances women face when networking—and the specific shifts that increase access, advocacy, and advancement
  • Build authentic connections rooted in shared value rather than self-promotion
  • Use intentional strategies to approach conference and event networking with confidence and ease
  • Leverage LinkedIn to extend conversations, amplify visibility, and strengthen long-term influence
  • Apply reflexive listening to uncover opportunities and deepen trust
  •  Transform a single interaction into a mutually beneficial, sustainable relationship
  • Create a network that accelerates success, supports career progression, and strengthens community

To reinforce the “give to gain” philosophy, the session will conclude with a guided networking experience, enabling attendees to immediately apply everything they learned—building connections, practicing new techniques, and expanding their circle of supporters in real time.

You’ll walk away with a practical, research-backed framework you can use at every event, in every room, and throughout your career.

Cancellation or transfer of registration must be received by e-mail to events@thecma.ca no later than ten (10) business days prior to the date of the event to receive a full refund.
