Positive reflections on the Canadian marketing community
Last week, we had our CMA Board of Directors meeting. I always appreciate the advice and input of such a passionate and strategic group of Canadian marketing leaders.
Our board meeting coincided with a meeting of our global coalition (the Global Data and Marketing Alliance), where I sit on the Executive Committee. It provides a different lens through which we can view ourselves and reflect on our progress.
My biggest takeaway from the two meetings is this: The Canadian marketing community, through the CMA, is the most vibrant and connected marketing community in the world.
Did you know, for example, that more than 700 of you have roles in the CMA on our Board of Directors, Committees, Councils, Regional Marketing Forums, CMA NXT platform, judging panels and professional development programs?
Together, we have built a powerful collective, where our members learn from and support one another, all while contributing to the growth and impact of marketing in Canada.
I would love to see our active volunteer numbers reach 1,000. I know that many of you would add outstanding new perspectives to the programs and opportunities we offer.
