A song of renewal

Many years ago, the iconic band Earth, Wind and Fire released a song celebrating the month of September. I concur. I think it has been on the dance playlist of every September wedding since.   

While I love summer, there’s something about September that always gets me charged up. Kids are heading back to school, businesses are coming alive in preparation for 2022.

Here at the CMA, we’re kicking off our 2021-22 Council term tomorrow. We’ll start the orientation session with a panel discussion on innovation and impact in the new era of marketing, and then each Council will hold its first meeting of the season.

About 150 thought leaders from brands, agencies, service providers and NFPs are participating in our nine Councils. Some have been with us for several years, while others are joining this dynamic community for the first time. We will be announcing the Council rosters on social media over the next few weeks, so you can like, comment or otherwise congratulate your connections for their success. 

Our June survey found that Council members place high value on contributing to thought leadership, learning from their peers, and enjoying the camaraderie, collegiality and teamwork that comes from participating on a Council. The 2021-22 term will offer all these elements and more.
