Get to know CMA’s Agency Search Toolkit and Resources
As part of our Agency Search Initiative, the CMA recently inserted a new section into its Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice focused solely on Agency Search, and worked with its members to develop an Agency Search Toolkit.
To date, several resources (public and member-exclusive) have been released, offering valuable tips to help navigate the Request for Proposal process. The toolkit includes:
- Principles of Agency Search - Seven agency search principles that should be followed to support professionalism and fairness in the industry, for the benefit of clients, agencies and the Canadian industry.
- Application of principles to searches in the Not-For-Profit sector – Highlighting similarities between RFPS in the private, NFP and public sectors, and some differences that deserve special attention.
- Application of principles to searches for PR/Communications agencies – How to communicate your brand’s needs and how a PR/Communications agency can support those needs.
- Preparing an effective procurement brief – Understand what information should be included in a Request for Proposal/procurement brief.
Further additions to the toolkit are under development, so we encourage you to delve into these materials and stay up to date by subscribing to our Top Five Picks e-newsletter through MyCMA.
